HCM CITY – The National Private Economic Development Research Council and the HCM City Wood Crafts and Industry Association have launched an initiative to develop a network of chief information officers for the industry wood and wood processing in order to promote its digital transformation.
Intended to provide professional training, help improve leadership and management capacity to create quality IT solutions and create breakthroughs for businesses, the initiative has attracted a lot of attention.
It will solicit applications from CIOs to participate in a two-day training camp designed specifically for the wood industry.
The training content will consist of seven modules to provide the information, skills and tools necessary for CIOs to master the digitization and digital transformation of their business.
Next, there will be three workshops on Digital Transformation, Technology Management and Leadership Vision featuring industry leaders.
The activities will take place between April and July.
The launch of the initiative also marked a rapprochement between the board of trustees, which is managed by the government’s Advisory Council for the Reform of Administrative Procedures, HAWA, CIO Vietnam and the Asia Foundation in Việt Nam (TAF).
With support from TAF last year, the others studied the readiness of the wood processing industry for digital transformation.
Through this initiative, CIOs who are capable and driven to succeed will lead the digital transformation story for the wood and wood processing industry.
According to experts, digital transformation will help companies improve their capacity and corporate governance.
